As a therapist, I help clients heal and grow by combining neurofeedback and EMDR,—two powerful, evidence-based methods that support the brain’s natural ability to recover from trauma and emotional distress. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience (15 years) i.e. CBT, Dialectic therapy, TFCBT supporting adults, adolescents, and children through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. I specialize in trauma, PTSD mood disorders, family and relationship conflicts, and couples counseling—including marriage, divorce, and co-parenting work.
Fluent in English, Farsi, Armenian and Assyrian. I work with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, offering culturally sensitive therapy in the language that feels most comfortable for you. I provide services in person and virtual sessions.
What is Neurofeedback, Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, brain-based therapy that helps train the brain to function more efficiently. It uses real-time monitoring of brainwave activity to teach self-regulation of brain function.
Neurofeedback is based on the idea that the brain can learn to correct its own activity when given the right feedback—much like a mirror helps you adjust your posture or expression. It’s commonly used to help with conditions such as:
· ADHD
· Anxiety
· Depression
· Sleep problems
· PTSD
· Migraines
· Traumatic brain injury
· Autism spectrum disorders
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured, integrative psychotherapy method designed to help people process and heal from distressing or traumatic life experiences. It’s recognized by organizations such as the American Psychological Association (APA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) for its effectiveness in treating PTSD and other trauma-related conditions.
Rather than focusing heavily on talking through trauma, EMDR helps the brain "reprocess" distressing memories so they are no longer emotionally overwhelming.
